FURTHER EXTENSION OF DEADLINE FOR NOMINATIONS FOR PUBLIC SERVICE AWARDS

 

Countdown to the Public Service 5K and Open House The deadline for the Outstanding Public Service Awards Ceremony has been extended for two more weeks and is now Monday 18th June 2012. Fifty public officers will be selected to receive awards for their contributions to the Public Service.

The Ministry of Public Administration (MPA), is encouraging the public to continue submitting nominations for the Awards. Nominees must be persons who are currently Public Officers or who have served in the Public Service from 1962 to present. Nomination Forms are available at www.mpa.gov.tt and can be submitted online or downloaded and sent to the MPA through ttconnect Service Centres in St. James, Princes Town, Arima, Chaguanas, Tunapuna and Bon Accord, Tobago. The forms must reach the MPA by June 18th, 2012.

Other events in commemoration of the 50th anniversary includes a 5K walk/run on the 16th June 2012 at the Queen Park Savannah. Starting point is at Queen Park West (opposite Memorial Park). Interested persons are reminded to register through any family member who is employed with a Ministry or Government office. Deadline date for registration is 8th June.

All Ministries and Agencies of the Government are participating in an Open House initiative which is free to the public and will take place on the Waterfront Esplanade, Port-of-Spain from 18th June to 22nd June and on Harris Promenade, San Fernando on 20th June. The Open House is closed on June 19, 2012 because of the Labour Day holiday.
